Monitoring station
deactivated in 2024. This station was active from 2004 to 2024. During these 20 years, first with a pair of Minimal Loops (http://www.vlf.it/minimal/minimal.htm) and then with a pair of ICS101 induction coils (http://www.vlf.it/romero3/ics101.html), it recorded H24 magnetic activity at the Cumiana site. Unfortunately, with the advent of the green transition, even such a rural area has seen the proliferation of photovoltaic installations. Disturbances induced on the power grid from solar panel regulation systems unfortunately propagate everywhere making areas that were previously fairly clean unusable to ELF reception. The installation of a large 2 MW Photovoltaic array only 1 km away from the induction coils this spring was the coup de grace. The location is therefore being switched off, in search of a quieter site where the two induction coils can be installed. Who knows, perhaps, in the future....

ULF magnetic field Spectrum scale: magnetic components of the spectrogram below with long term average curve (red) and last waterfall line. Frequency range 0.1 – 35 Hz, with a sensitivity of 1 pT at 1 Hz, here with a 30 Hz low pass filter turned ON. FFT resolution 10.5 mHz, scroll time
40 seconds. Schumann resonances are almost always
visible at night. During the daytime the signal from a
single track railway line, which runs 4 km from the
monitoring station, prevails. A few kilometres away
there is also a 380 kV high-voltage power distribution
line.

Magnetic field received by induction coil. FFT with 84
mHz resolution, scroll time 4.5 sec. More than 4
hours are showed. Picture updated every 30 minutes. Multistrip daily representation,
useful for comparing anomalies from day to day: Scroll time 110 sec, 7 mHz FFT resolution, updated every 30 minutes.
