Opera 2015 - Magnetic Pulsation 012

From 23 to 27 June 2015, many PC1 Geomagnetic pulsations.  One of the most turbulent periods of recent years, with regard to the terrestrial geomagnetic activity.

Geomagnetic activity as reported by NOAA (http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/notifications-timeline)

Very strong geomagnetic activity creates the right conditions for the rise of the pulse.
Geomagnetic pulsation detected are marked with light blue and identified with letters on bottom.

In the same days, geomagnetic activity detected by Sodankyla Geophysical Observatory (Finland)  http://www.sgo.fi/Data/Pulsation/latestPulsation.php -

This is a composite image of H component, from Jun 23 to Jun 27. PC1 pulsations evidenced in white ovals. The night is confirmed
as the best time for the creation of these signals.

Monitoring St. 01 - IK1QFK  CUMIANA (TO), NW Italy

Two orthogonal ICS101 induction coils. Schumann Resonances on right part. The first part of PC1 pulsation (A) is marked with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down. Train passings before pulsation starting.

Monitoring St. 01 - IK1QFK  CUMIANA (TO), NW Italy

Two orthogonal ICS101 induction coils. Schumann Resonances marked on left part. Red and yellow PC1 pulsations (B) are marked with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down. Evidenced also spurious carriers coming from main network

Monitoring St. 04 - ROMAGNA OBSERVATORY From Sogliano al Rubicone(FC), N Italy.

Here a single ICS101 Induction coil: nice reception, less bothered of the previous one. Schumann Resonances marked on left part. Strong pulsations evidenced with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down.

Monitoring St. 05 - NORTHERN CROSS RADIOTELESCOPE From Medicina (IT - Bologna), N Italy

Still the same signal, here detected ULFO, a single Induction coil. Schumann Resonances on left part. Strong pulsations evidenced with white arrow on top, and white oval in the zoom down.

Monitoring St. 01 - IK1QFK  CUMIANA (TO), NW Italy

Two orthogonal ICS101 induction coils. Schumann Resonances marked on left part. PC1 pulsation (C) is marked with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down.

Monitoring St. 04 - ROMAGNA OBSERVATORY From Sogliano al Rubicone(FC), N Italy.

Single ICS101 Induction coil. Same signal as before but more clear. Schumann Resonances marked on left part. Strong pulsations evidenced with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down.

Monitoring St. 05 - NORTHERN CROSS RADIOTELESCOPE From Medicina (IT - Bologna), N Italy

Single ULFO Induction coil. Same signal as before. Schumann Resonances marked on left part. Strong pulsations evidenced with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down. Some local noise before and after the pulsation.

Monitoring St. 04 - ROMAGNA OBSERVATORY From Sogliano al Rubicone(FC), N Italy.

Single ICS101 Induction coil. Schumann Resonances marked on left part. Strong pulsations evidenced with white arrow, and white oval in the zoom down.

Monitoring St. 05 - NORTHERN CROSS RADIOTELESCOPE From Medicina (IT - Bologna), N Italy

Same as before, but detected with ULFO induction coil, 50 km away from preceding reception.

Monitoring St. 05 - NORTHERN CROSS RADIOTELESCOPE From Medicina (IT - Bologna), N Italy

Multistrips daily view of this extraordinary activities. Various pulses are highlighted in white oval, and are the same as those detected by the observatory of
Sodankyla Geophysical Observatory (Finland) on the top of this page.
